I rinse the filter media with cool de-chlorinated tap water. I fill 5 gal. buckets and rinse everything. I am leaning towards something in the substrate getting stirred up while removing that plant as the problem. Or maybe something bad got in the water. The last two are doing o.k. but I am keeping ...

sudden Adolfoi deaths after a year
Good morning! I thought someone out there could help. I have been keeping 5 Adolfos Corys in a 29 gallon planted community tank for a year. Hi folks! I started out with small natural gravel about 1/8" in my 29 gallon tank. That was before I discovered corys. After I put a small school of Adolfoi in, I decided to build a sand pit by pushing the gravel to the sides and back of the tank and walling in the sand with chuncks of petrified ...

Stocking and tank size
I have a few questions about stocking corys that I hope are not too stupid. I have a 15 gallon "show tank". It's base measures 10" x 20". I guess this has about the same base size as a ten gallon tank only its taller. I am new to the hobby and didn't realize this at first. I have a golden gourami, 3 ...
