Still a nice looking fish. There must have been a batch exported round the world, as there are a few posts where they're a new fish for someone. The barbels should grow back. Here are more, possibly not better, photos. Hard to get as they do like to hide. The spots are not that gold.

They look like Mystus mysticetus. I saw them for the first time ever a few weeks ago and bought three. Mine do not come out while the lights are on. They are very effective on any guppies small enough to fit in their mouth. Cheers

Bought two obvious males from St George Aquariums (Sydney). Both about 25mm long. Unfortunately there were no females in the tank.
