They are not rare, the biggest one attain 70 mm SL (approx)

I don't think Nangra is found in hillstreams. The habitat in question is a swift, turbid lowland river (elevation is only about 4 m asl).
I have collected three specimens of Nangra nangra (somewhere in May 2010?)from Teirei river, Mizoram. These too from moderately fast, turbid lowland river ...

Supposed to be Glyptothorax chhimtuipuiensis, missed one 'h'. Etymology must be the river(I guess?.) The name of the river is CHHIMTUIPUI

The natural habitats is formed of pebbles and those rocks/stones (collected from its natural habitat) i kept with. If aeration is good i just think they can survive well, I feed with tubifex worm (dried). I kept Acanthocobitis botia, Garra sp, Botia dario, Amblycep sp, Glypto, Devario aequpinatus ...

If your plan include Mizoram, prepare to climb (eh! it is a hilly area) as less chances of finding good diversity of fish where vehicles can reach. You'll be needing special permit to enter too. Even the Indians (other than Mizos) need Inner Line Permit to enter Mizoram.

not only aor even seenghala have black spot on adipose but acicularis have bigger and longer adipose (with black spot) compare to aor and seenghala.Tom wrote:I always thought aor was the one with the spot on the adipose.

Spent 2 nights to north eastern part of Mizoram, Based at NE Khawdungsei village which is 200 kms from my state capital, it took 8 hrs to reach.
