Re: Corydoras similis are like in their nature
Sweet biotope aquarium. 5 stars.     Looks exactly like cory habitat. I found this video corydoras in more lotic conditions on more rough substrate and thought I would share it. I know we often say that corydoras don't like rough substrate but ...

Wow those eggs have a huge perivitelline space. You should post some pics of different development phases as they grow

Re: I just have to share...
Wow!! Amazing group of fish. I love Brochis multiradiatus. There were a few at a local shop a couple of months ago but they were priced at $30 each which is way out of my price range.

Re: Urgent Diagonosis Needed Please
I think that the low pH is causing stress and increasing susceptibility to illness. pH fluctuations might be occurring as well. Check your pH a few hours after lights out and then test again around mid-day.

Re: Corydoras ID needed.... What sp.?
I found this pic posted on another forum. It was posted in August of last year. On that forum somebody guessed it to be C. venezuelenus but there was no explanation for that belief by the identifier. The person that purchased the fish said this: I found this cory among a group of C.aeneus in Qian Hu ...

Re: Question for the Corydoras experts
Using mtDNA and microsatellite sequences from natural populations and fish collections we might be able to find out the primary source population. It can be done. But most likely that will not happen.

Question for the Corydoras experts
Since C.aeneus is the most commonly encountered Corydora in aquarium trade I'm assuming that most are captive raised/aquacultured. My question is this; From which regional type (species?) is the most common form of C.aeneus most likely derived from? Venezuela? Trinidad? Elsewhere? Do you think that ...

How many Hara Jerdoni should be kept in a 29 gallon tank?
I was considering purchasing Hara Jerdoni for my 29G aquarium.
Tankmates would be Corydoras aeneus (6), and Nannostomus Eqeus (1). Are Hara Jerdoni solitary in nature? How many would be suitable for my aquarium?
Any advice on specific care/requirements?
