Thanks! My tank is a 40 long setup with 2 inlets on the left side and 2 800 GPH powerheads on the right side, plumbed in w/ 1/2" pvc creating a suction sponge power filer setup... works really well! There is not that much movement because the flow is going thru a rock wall that I put together (ill ...

Specifics in spawning L204

Hello! I've had a nice group of L204 for about 3 years now. I have them in a tank that I used to grow them out and it has been successful to this point in doing so, as they are about 4.5" to 5", and I can tell so far it looks like 3M / 2F as a ratio. The COTM 12-05 article states that you need ...

L204's home... Finally!

Got a nice shot of the new home for the L204 group that I have. Its a 40 long, with 1/2" pvc siliconed to the bottom, in a series of runs with 2 filter intakes on the left side (not in picutre) and two 1200 gph powerheads that create a pretty good current for them. The filtration works great! I hid ...

Thanks for the info guys. I know the L204 are NEAR IMPOSSIBLE to spawn in captivity, but I think I can do it. There are a few harder Cichlids that most breeders can "NEver Spawn" that we've done already, so Im always up for a challenge! I plan on working with the L007, L002 and the L333 at first, I ...

Okay just installed the TWO MaxiJet 1200 powerheads... I think its a bit overkill, I mean, they both move 295 USGPH!!! Thats about 600 GPH thats moving... the flow is amazing but the plecos seem to be loving it!! ILl wait until morning when the tank calms a bit and take some more photos.
