sold as "gold zebra pleco"
I'll get some pics in the morning, dont want to disturb the tank this evening. I was at my LFS who has a really good reputation, at least from my experiance, with the fish he sells. I was looking at a tank, which contained some raphael catfish(very cool looking), and I noticed a pleco in the tank. I ...

Re: what to do with a leaking tank-URGENT
i have attempted fixing a leaking tank before, 55 gallon i got in a bad deal on craiglist, anyhow as suggested i used a razor to remove all the old silicone, then acetone to clean the glass, then i put a small fan inside the tank and cranked it on high for 24 hours. I applied the new silicone with ...

Re: what should i get?
do you think it's a possibility that the l205 was starved to death from my common? i saw the 205 eating a couple times, and i rarely ever see my common come out and eat, although i know he does as the food disappears after i fall asleep. someone else mentioned in another post that my 205 looked a ...

Re: what should i get?
why whats up with the common pleco, is it just the size that he's going to reach? or do they end up being pretty aggressive in the future? or a combination of both perhaps?

Re: what should i get?
well, i understand that and i've tried to find a new home for the oscar, my LFS doesn't want to take it as he doesn't have a tank big enough to house the oscar properly...i've got a few people who were interested then fell out at the last minute. that being said the oscar isn't super active, and he ...

Re: Big Catfish Poached in Virginia.
slot sizes like alot of NY fisheries do, you can keep a certain fish from say 20-25 inchs and you can keep 3 of those, none bigger then 25 inchs or smaller than 20 inchs..and plus it should be illegal to do that to any fish in that situation, they should find a way to keep more consistant water flow ...

Re: my l205 died =(
the pics that i posted were when i first got him from my LFS and he just got it in that day, so i guess whoever the supplier was is to blame, i've only had the fish 2-3 weeks. Im 99.99% sure it wasn't the oscar that killed the fish and i doubt it was a territory issue with the other pleco i guess ...

well, he looked the same inside the bag from my LFS also, yea i was wondering if the patterns varied from fish to fish, but to call it a tiger seems kinda wrong, tigers are striped, not spotted lol, but ok 2 ppl have told me l205 so thats what i'll go with, thanks much.

UPSTATE NY PLECO, L205?
Hi, my name is Alvin. Recently at my LFS I purchased a "tiger pleco". I wasn't so much concearned with it's actual breed as it looked cool and was compatibale in my tank. So after checking this guy..or girl out on the way home, and while he floated in the bag for about 20-30 mins, open of course, I ...
