Bristlenose Breeding Question
I would like to raise both regular and albino bristlenose plecos. My question is will one male mate with more than one female? So if I had a male albino BN and a female regular BN and a female albino BN would the male most likely mate with both, thus producing regular and albino offspring? Any other ...

My father and I used to catch catfish. When we would clean them if you slipped and caught a spine in the finger then your finger would swell up and definately sting. Sometimes you could still feel it a few days later. If you handled them even when they were alive they would not try to bite and not ...

Well, I don't know the ph. I suppose I should buy one of those kits. I keep the tank pretty clean and I run a bio-wheel that says it can handle up to a 50 gallon tank. Our water runs down out of the mountains, I don't know if that makes it hard or soft. When it evaporates it seems to leave white ...

How's this setup?
I currently have a male and female bristlenose that are small but I am hoping to breed when they grow. I am trying to plan out the rest of the tank. I would like to add a few syno multipuctatuses (is that the plural form or is it punctati?) and a host pair of cichlids for them. Is this is compatible ...

Bristlenose Qusetions
I just got my 2 breeding pairs of Bristlenose in the mail (1 pair albino, 1 pair normal) and I am so excited. I do however have a couple questions.
I bought them on aquabid which was a good experience. The seller said they had the "long fin gene" but I didn't really understand what that was. What ...

M/F Ratio for multipunctatus?
I was thinking of getting some synodontis multipunctatus and trying to breed them. I have been reading the articles on the web about this but none seem to mention a male to female ratio.
Could I get 1 male and 1 female and likely eventually get a breeding? Or should I get 1 male and 2 females, ect ...

Syno Breeding?
Hi,
I have experience keeping fish, cichlids, ect. But have never kept catfish. I came across a nice 40 gallon tank at a used furniture store that I could not pass up. I have been reading about synos and would like to keep some in that tank.
I would prefer to get some synos that might someday breed ...
