Re: L82
Hey you ever get any L368 moon plecos.? I am about to buy two of them. To be honest the pictures have them looking dam near identical to my L082. They are listed as a separate species though. I have L82 and L014. So I figure why not try and get a third of the 7 species in the genus.. So many black ...

Re: L046 group quality question (pictures attached)
Hello - Wanted to share some pictures of a group of 7 L046 between 3"-4" so I can get some opinions about quality and confirmation of the sex... The group of 4 are males according to the seller and the group of 3 are females. Can someone provide an opinion about quality from the picture, if not ...

Not doubting you, just curious how you can tell it apart from all the other little dotty guys. That was one of the (many) I had it narrowed down to. I’m going to call the store tomorrow and see if they have any idea. But they’re the ones who labeled it wrong so… I have kept (and bred) L147 for about ...

Re: L82
Thanks Eric!
I ordered new thermometers and put in most of the tanks I have heaters in... I am a little paranoid now and check temps every time I go in the fish room! At least some survived and I can be happy with that at.
Take care,
Chuck

Day 30 (from spawn) update. Had a problem with a heater and lost most of them before I figured out what was going on. But the remaining fry are doing well. Feeding a mix of pellets, Daphnia mona, and algae. They also enjoy the oak leaves I have in with them.

Re: Tank age and leaks
I have a 90 gallon I bought new in 2004 and a few years after that I bought a bunch of 40 breeders and 20 gallon tanks used and were around 10 years old when I got them. Never had a leak with any of them so far.... but some other "newer" tanks I have gotten over the years have leaked. Take care ...

Thank you. I will keep updating on their progress. Here are a couple pictures of them today and the tank I have them in..... nothing special. A good amount of wood, rocks, caves, and places to hide. Fry saver is one I made.... I don't like the store bought ones I have seen, so I made some. Take care ...

A couple more got kicked out. I will more some L397's out of a fry saver and use for the L82's later today.... till them a jar with an air stone will work. The L397's egg sacks are just about gone anyways so works out well.

When I turned on the lights this morning, I found 4 wigglers outside the cave! Will try to get some pictures later today. A little worried that it has only been 5 days since they were laid.... always thought/read it takes longer for them to hatch is why I am worried. I did take a quick peak inside ...

Re: Hypan ID
Hahahaha, well when I was looking at some L400s, the guy just came up to me and told me about this single unidentified special hypan for sale so... Normally that would be a hard pass for me too but if it is indeed a rare hypan that no one has I would still want it even for that price hahaha. Well I ...

Re: Hypan ID
Well thing is, this is the only hypan "special" they have hahaha and it's nearly twice the price of a L46 for reference. Twice the price of a L46 and they can't even say what it is. Plus, it's the only one they have...... it would be a pass in my book but that is just me! Makes me think about ...

Hi Stuby, What is the PH and TDS in your breeding L82 TANK? - A different Tony Hi Tony, TDS is 96ppm and PH~7.2 to 7.6.... I hate the color chart for the PH and can never figure out the exact color. Pictured is high PH test (right) and low test (left). I can say temp has a lot to do with them ...

Thanks Tony...... All in good time. They bred once, though the eggs turned out bad I know they will breed and it may have been that the male was too young. The same male was trapping this time but with a different female.

Re: L82
They trapped for two days.... the third day I found them in separate caves. Guess they aren't ready for a serious relationship yet...... male is a good 1.5" smaller than the female and might be why they didn't go through with it??
