Re: Tachysurus fulvidraco

Cheers, i'll be moving them at some stage over the weekend and will let you know how it goes.
I know i was worried about adding some plec's (2 L075, 3L200) before but they settled in fine and are out most of the time, so fingers crossed the same will happen with the cats.

L075 & L200

I would like to get some L075's and some L200, would these be ok together?? Also my current L075 which is about 7" is bright yellow and has been since i bought him when he was around 2", but when i come accross them in shops now they are dark. Would they colour up or would they be a different strain?

Short wiskers

I have just noticed that one of my cichlids has bitten the whiskers of my vulture cat. I will be taking the cichlid out of the tank ASAP.

I need to know if the whiskers will heal and grow back, he is swimming a bit funny at the moment. Should I put anything in the tank to help destress him?

i used to have a stunning perch, i kept him in with a pair of jag's, and a large cicla along with a couple of plec's. He grew to apx 9". I introduced an arowana to the tank that i found out after had a internal infection. It affected all the fish but i only lost the perch. I am thinking i might put ...

I have been in touch with a lfs that sells a plec, what I believe to be common plec, and they said that they would do the job. I know someone that has a common plec in a cold-water tank that is kept indoors and ...

It will depend on the fish. i have a 6x2x2 tank with large fish next to a 2x2x2 with small fish that i am growing. The sides are clear but i have had to put something there as the larger fish keep on raming the glass to get the small fish. The catfish appear to be ok but the large cichla and arowana ...

That should be ok, i used to have one at 4" with a 12" gibby, 10" synsplium, 2 11" jags, blach belt 12" and 2 large midas. Make sure he has somewhere to hide. I used to lean slate and some bog wood against the front of the tank for him to hide so i was still being able to see him myself.

Scarlet with an Adonis

I wonder if you could advise me. I have been offered a scarlet plec for a good price. I quite like the looks of these, but I already have a large Adonis which as you know is aggressive. Would a scarlet be able to hold his own with the Adonis?
