Malaysian Trumpet Snails and Pleco Eggs
Will the MTS eat pleco eggs? I have a bunch in with my 201's and 134's and have always had small hatch rates. Could this be why? Both breeding groups are in 55 gallon tanks with a few tetras. Water parameters are excellent and water changes are twice weekly so everything is fine there. Both groups ...

MTS and PLeco Eggs
Will MTS(Malaysian Trumpet Snails) eat plecos eggs? I have noticed that some of my L201 clutches have either shrunken in size greatly or disappeared and I have seen some mts in the caves? My other option is some of the peacock juvies may be picking off fry during the evening or morning hours? ANy ...

l239 Blue Fin Panaque Breeding Questions
I recently picked up a nice group of these little guys and I am interested in trying to breed them in the future. Has anyone had any success with them? All I seem to find is a note here or there that states breeding is known in captivity but nothing else? Any tips on food likes or dislikes would be ...

Asterophysus batrachus Gulper cat set up
I am in the process of getting a couple of these and looking for ideas on a set up for them? Biotope specifics? I have tried a couple searches but all I seem to find is bare bottom tanks with nothing in them.

Re: Male Albino Bristlenose and Egg Problems
Thanks for the replies, it is only the third time they have bred so I think you may be right on the "rookie" thing. As for the terracotta pot idea I like it and have seen some pics of them, I think I may give it a go, guessing they are just siliconed together? Mark Hi Mark, I am the one who uses ...

Re: Male Albino Bristlenose and Egg Problems
I am the one who uses the terra cotta drain pans for Bushy Nose breeding caves. I make the notch in the top piece only and simply hold them together with a couple of strong rubber bands. I have never had any eggs or larvae ejected from these caves. The rubber bands require replacement every 4 ...

Male Albino Bristlenose and Egg Problems
I have a trio of breeding albinos in a tank all by them selves. The females rugularly have eggs and the male does fertalize them but then he pushes them out of his "log" and out into the tank. I have been lucky the last few times and scooped them up and put the eggs in an egg "tumbler". It has been ...

Re: L201 Hypancistrus Inspector Spawn!
I can understand your issues and agree. The only thing I can go with is what the supplier sells them to me as from south America! I will try and get some pics of the adults and post them so maybe I can get some info from people on the sight as to the true name or L number. It will be months before I ...

L201 Hypancistrus Inspector Spawn!
This is my first post and one I am super excited about! I have a group of wild caught l201's and even though I try and watch them like a hawk I apparently don't do a very good job! I found 15-20 1cm babies in the tank yesterday right up along the water line! I have caught those I could and got them ...

Looking for sexing help with the 201. I just got a large group in from Columbia and I want to make sure I get a group for myself before I sell the rest. Any help on sexing and breeding is greatly appreciated.
