just wanted to add that UGF's are notorious for being nitrate factories....unless they are pretty rigorously maintained. there is certainly nothing wrong with using them, but it is farily common on forums to see high nitrate readings with their use. i dont know how your area of michigan is ...

i should add....

if some of you DO indeed keep catfish only tanks....especially large ones (75 gallon +) what species of catfish are well suited to those if any?

the suspense is killing me :D

hello! from what i can already see, this is a top-notch site. i frequent a lot of other forums, mostly as a cichlid junkie (i know, i know :) ) and have used this site as a reference for over a year now, but never actually joined. so.....the only catfish i have are a common pleco and a synodontis ...
