I would leave them alone for now, since it can take them several days in the cave to spawn.

Yep, you are right, thanks. By the way.....in the pics in your link are the green stripe variety as well. My importer has those as well and I will get a group of them as well as soon as I have a tank set up for them. I have never been into cory's before, but I am struck by the cory-virus badly now :).

C.aeneus 'gold stripe'

I bought some of these today...They are stunning in their beauty (at least in my opinion). I hadn't seen these cory's before the last month. Have they been discovered recently? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v71/evdzwaag/aeneusspgoldstripe001.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v71/evdzwaag ...

corydoras evelynae. Pics.

Today I received my first three C. evelynae. There will be 5 more in the next columbia shipment my importer will receive and with every shipment I hope to collect a few more of them so I can start a breedingproject with these great cory's. Here's a Pic: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v71/evdzwaag ...

cory evelynae

My importer says that this species used to be very rare some years ago, but that they are sometimes obtainable now. How common are they now? What would be a normal price for these cory's? And have they been bred allready?

Thanx,
Eelke

Anyone got experience with these? I read they are pretty easy to breed.

Yes, and the lines were lots and lots thinner than the zebra's linings (much more like L260).

Tou were completely right Barbie. The fish didn't even closely resemble zebra's. Bummer, because it were supposed to be 50 pieces which would have doubled our breeding group! We found 9 adult L262, so that made the trip worthwile :)

L46 or L173

I am working on a breeding projekt together with a friend of mine, We allready got a very large group of L46, and now my importer got his hands on a box of L173. These are supposed to be H. Zebra ofcourse, but is there any difference between L46 and L173 (and L98 while we are at it :))

Thanx
Eelke

Anyone got any info? I can get some adults (2 now and possibly 3 in a few weeks) and was wondering if they are suitable for a little breeding project?

Looks really impressive. I have no experience with this large a projekt, but am curious why you didn't just use a large outdoor pool filter.

M. tigrinus and B. juruense

I got me a tigrinus and a juruense (both about 15cm) and they are doing great. They eat white musquito larves and feeders, but it would be nice if I could get them on to a frozen diet. Anyone got experience getting them off of live foods? I tried dropping some small pieces of shrimp in front of the ...

which cat to put in with Gymnogeophagus?

I started a new gymnogeophagus tank. It's a relative cold water tank. Which cat will do good in 20C and will not grow to large?

I just aquired two peckoltia sp.02. I had never seen these peckoltia before...are they rare, or just not common in the trade in this part of the world (netherlands).
