Doh that's not good on the temp issue. I keep this tank around 76-77. I purchased a few ottos and he must have been mixed in.
Didn't even notice until I got home and saw him last night.
It does look like the pictures although mine is a lighter color. Very cool looking. Maybe a different species ...

Picked this one up and I don't see any photos of in the Cat-elog under the oto sp.

Hi everyone -
Went to the LFS to pickup 3 more ottos for my planted tank. They had some labeled Otocinclus Janierensis. I cannot find any information on the web. I know ottos are sort of hard to ID but curious if anyone has heard of this species.

New to Catfish..Confirm ID?
Hi all. First post and I am pretty new to catfish. I picked up what was sold as Ancistrus Temmincki at my LFS. I picked him up pretty mcuh as an algae eater in my planted tank. Cute little guy about 2 inches tops.
