I had the exact same happen to me, the photo with one egg, surrounding with clear sacs, does that mean the males eating them?

Does anyone know what this is?

It looks exactly like a group of L168 i have, the colours are always changing.

Ok thanks for the replys guys, and mats thanks for clearing that up for me :) I will remove the loaches asap, i just didnt want to go steaming into the tank with a net and scare the male.

My BNs spawned early sat night :D and the male is fanning like mad now, my only worry is i have a couple of clown loaches in the same tank and they seem to be sniffing around his cave. Should i be worried about them? Or should i remove them? From what ive read and remember the eggs should hatch in 3 ...

Funny you should say them, ive just spent £70 there, :D they used to do the slate ones there but all i could find was the terracota ones. so i bought 7 of them :D i hope there good ones

Im off to oxford in the morning, having a look at some fish shops, i know the goldfish bowl and im going to wheatly as well, but recently the shops i have been to have left me very dissapointed. That preety much what made my decision, i couldnt bear if id just spent alot of money and lost all my fish, oh well i suppose ill have more to spend in feb, and probably have another tank set up by then :D my missus is going to love me!!!

I have had to cancel my plans for today, because of the snow! :( im so gutted, i really wanted to go today as well. Ive had the week off this week and where i live the snow is belted down, i cant even get the car off the drive. Looks like i will be going in febuary when i have more time off work ...

I only moved them yesterday, caught them using a net, and then placed them in a tub and put them in the tank, the two tanks are right next to each other! Maybe its just coincidence, i dont know!
