Shipping Adolfi?
Are Adolfi difficult to ship? I purchased a group of Adolfi from a dealer, and twice the fish arrived with many DOA ... out of 32 fish, only 3 have survived. Is this normal, or is it more likely the dealer has weak fish and/or poor shipping practices?

Hi ... I too have a breeding colony of wild Sterbai. They have become fairly productive over the past year. I'm not a Cory expert, but I've been breeding angelfish and Discus commercially for over 12 years. In fact, cory have been somewhat of a mystery to me until recently. I believe the "trick" is ...

Growing Out Sterbai
OK ... my batch of (easily over) 100 fry is growing quite well ... though I did notice several dead fry yesterday on the bottom of the tank. The fry are approaching 1 month old. They are in a 10 gallon bare-bottomed tank with 2 4inch cube sponge filters. I feed live baby brine shrimp twice a day ...

TANK SIZE QUESTIONS - Can you spawn ancistrus in a 10 gallon tank? Would a 20L be better? How about a 55 gallon? WATER MOVEMENT - Do ancistrus spawn better in a tank with lots of water movement? TEMPERATURE - best? SPAWNING SITE - I've heard ancistrus like to spawn in barnacle clusters ... does PVC ...

Spawning Ansitrus
I have a colony of tank-bred ancistrus ... currently in a 125 gallon with 20 adult angels. I'm trying to find a "formula" for regularly spawning these guys ... I use the juvies to keep my 25 tanks clean (I breed angels, discus amd bettas). What are the successful methodologies you folks are using ...

Sterbai spawned
I have 9 C.Sterbai set up in two 10 gallon tanks (4 and 5). Last night (full moon, storm coming) I did a 50% water change. Vola! Eggs scatterd in both tanks this morning. I removed the adults to two 29 gallon tanks and added some formalin to the water in the 10s ... hopefully the eggs will hatch ...

Breeding C. Julii?
I have a colony of 12 C. Julii I acquired from a friend who imports from SA. I've had them for almost 6 months. How easy is it to breed Julii? Should I do anything special? How big should they be? I have no idea how old they are.
Thanks
Jeff
