Ok, so can anyone chime in with what size his Tandanus Tandanus is and how long he's had it?
What living conditions they are would also be helpful.

Re: Breeding the Zebra pl*co
Well, for a breakdown of questions:
1) What would be the ideal setup to induce/encourage breeding amongst adults?
2) What factors can contribute in larger spawns?
3) What would be the ideal parameters for maintaining the babies?
4) How should I go around in making the babies grow bigger?

Breeding the Zebra Pleco
Just wanted to know the best way to breed the Zebra Pleco. Considering that some people in Brazil have been given the permission of building dams in the lower part of the Xingu River, I start worrying about the future of the fish and feel that keeping them on this planet requires captive breeding ...

Re: Biggest Captive Tandanus Tandanus in Captivity: What siz
Whilst you do make a good point, the problem is whether we are capable of giving them EXACTLY what they need. Most people who are responsible enough to keep large fish normally are just able to give them things that, whilst very good for the fish, aren't exactly like their wild populations. And even ...

Re: Biggest Captive Tandanus Tandanus in Captivity: What siz
No, that's not exactly what I mean. I just need to point out that I wish to know what sizes of these animals normally appear with those who have worked with them and/or kept them. I haven't heard of any stories of these fish regarding growth rate, size after 3 years, compatibility, decoration ...

Biggest Captive Tandanus Tandanus in Captivity: What size?
Just wondering out of curiosity. The E-Log says 33.5" is its max, but I'd like to hear from people who've worked with or kept/are keeping these fish to know how big they regularly get, especially in the aquarium setting.

Re: ParoonSharks and ID sharks
No, but regardless if its an Arowana, an ID Shark , or a Bichir, one thing common among these three (And all other somewhat big fish (BTW, monster is now being used for any fish that grows higher than 13 inches)) is that captive stunting will always occur. We can't exactly replicate the water ...

Re: ParoonSharks and ID sharks
Despite growing to massive wild sizes, I have seen a number of ID and Paroon Sharks that have never reached anything close to the sizes of their wild conspecifics. As far as Aquarium fish go, they still get big, but stunting seems to affect them more than an Arowana.

Re: How many Cories of each species.
I'll keep that in mind, but considering that my pot is a community pot, I can't hope to breed them. I've got a Siamese Fighter, 3 long-finned leopard/zebra danios, and some Guppies in there.
Still, I'll get more of the Julies.

How many Cories of each species.
How many cories of a single species should I have per aquarium?
I mean, I have a large ceramic pot as an aquarium and placed 5 albino Bronze Cories and 2 Julie Cories. Was wondering whether they would need to school or whether the Albinos would school with the Julies.

The bathtub would be nice for some other, smaller catfish like cories, plecs, and the like, but for something that's RTC-Grade?
You'd better get a pond for that one.

Re: Catfish tank help
Depends on the fish, actually.
I'm trying for some that would be ok in somewhat neutral water.
Also, despite each of their habitats, most fish seem to be ok in a certain ph band, ie, 6.4-7.5.

Mixing well is more of my concern than fitting. That said, if I have to stick only to certain size range with the fish, I will.
So, any Clarids or Silurids that would mix well with others (Catfish)?
