I very much appreciate your kind words.

Re: Improving C.schultzei(Black)
Thank you for backing up my thought Frank! :) That's what I understood to be the case exactly. Always my pleasure. :-) I have seen the same S-shaped spinal deformities with (very few of) my Longfin aeneus (another line-bred corydoras). That being said they are otherwise extremely healthy, nice to ...

Re: Improving C.schultzei(Black)
Greetings. As in all things Corydoras, I generally only report on my first-hand experience that takes place in my tanks, in my fish room. I'm not big on "fish tales." Obviously there are a myriad of determining factors as to what a fish will grow to look like at old age. My poor experiences with ...

i am not familiar with seussi's. i breed orange lasers and trilineatus. it depends on where ur catfish hails from. lower altitude breeds like warmer water; higher fish prefer colder. mylasers r 3 mos. out of peru high country. i keep all my tanks at 74. i also breed trilineatus (from pet stores ...

Update. Strong possibility that the fish in question may be CW041. Then again, Ian has observed the fish in person, so I guess the possibility is not that strong. TY. - Frank

Re: Corydoras seussi temperatures
Greetings, Dave. Ian brought it to my attention when he visited my fish room that it would be better if I increased the temp on my lovely group of this species. They have been kept in the mid-70's for years with no losses (knock on wood) but not once have I witnessed anything resembling what you ...

Greetings. Just sold this group as they are too similar to my C. pulcher to justify keeping both groups. The C. pulcher are actually a bit nicer, or I would have sold those, instead. All this time, I have never taken a decent picture of them. This is not my best effort, but hey, it's a holiday, here ...

My First Spawn of S. lacerdai
Greetings. When Mr. Fuller visited me in late June he was kind enough to bring me a group of 7 S. lacerdai. About a week ago I was saddened to see that one had died. On Friday, I was even more distraught to find another dead one. Both deaths occurred after moving the group into a tank in a lower and ...

Re: Something wrong with my Cory?
Too early to tell, but if the fish is in distress, the best thing to do is to leave it alone, lest you hasten its demise. Sometimes Corys just "sit around." Other times they are quite active. There is little rhyme or reason as to why and when. Additionally, Corys do better in groups. A solitary ...

Re: Corydoras paleatus - Breeding Size
Greetings Darren. I would venture to guess that your 6 to 8 week old fish are not laying eggs. While I used to believe that it took a year for most Corys to reach sexual maturity, I have found 9 months to be a more realistic figure. I have never witnessed any group of Corys spawn in under 7 months ...

Re: Another New One
Greetings. Twenty-one eggs, today and all perfectly viable. I believe they are finished learning the ropes. Re: Another New One
Well, this group of C. parallelus are really starting to get into the swing of things. Another spawn, overnight, of around 20 eggs, 15 of which look perfectly viable. One or two more spawns and this group should be having successful spawns on a regular basis. Time will tell. Cheers. - Frank

Another New One - PIC ADDED - 8/19
Greetings. After weeks of teasing me with eggs that were 100% non-viable, my C. parallelus finally got off the pot and had a new spawn with two dozen eggs, at least half of which were good. That's getting the week of to a great start. :) Of course, I have been doing this long enough to know that ...

I did mention it in our first emails about the shipment. Honestly, I do not recall that. While I do suffer from the ravages of profound memory loss, I rarely, if ever, allow something like that to go by me. Look how long it took to get your credit for the DOA, though. I think I may have moved ...
