That silvery mark above(?) opercle does not stand out so well in the picture, or does it..? Which of those other identification features can be seen easily in live fish? Meaning: how can i safely tell Gogangra apart from all Gagata?

Gogangra viridescens

Is this just a Gagata or maybe even the Gogangra..?

Thanks HH, that sand burrowing thing was interesting. Does that mean these fishes are found in sandy clearwaters (ie. like Hara)or are they found in more rocky places?

Do they eat algae well?

West African Leptoglanis

Has anyone seen these fishes lately on importers/exporters lists or in shops?

I used the search button on these, didn't bring much results. Is anything exact known about their natural habitats, temp, species occuring in same biotopes etc.?

Hi Debra, i recommend plants like Nymphaea lotus which have large horizontal leaves. The glass catfish love to "rest" under these plants. To make your fish shine more i think you need more light from the side than top. usually natural light from windows should help a little. Don't loose the sand ...

The Scarlets were beautifull as was the location. Also B. badis and B. ruber occur here. But since this is a catfish site, i just want to recommend Wallago, yum! Nothing wrong with the Mystus either, the sauce was perhaps a bit too much though... Food aside, the Pseudecheneis were magnificent ...
