My apologies! I don't know how I mis-stated the length so terribly, LOL. It is 183cm.
My thoughts were that corydoras would be just fine in just about any depth of home aquaria... but a few people's comments on another forum started me having doubts. Thanks for setting my mind at ease.

Setting up a 680 liter Corydoras friendly tank
I currently have a 208 liter planted tank with approximately 15-20 Corydoras panda , 10 Corydoras leucomelas , and 8 Corydoras habrosus . There are also about 20 or so harlequin rasboras in there. I will soon be switching out that tank to a larger tank that is approximately 680 liters, with the ...

Re: What pl*co is right for me???
I'm not sure what species the pleco was, but the pleco was removed surgically but the oscar was no longer able to close his mouth, and died the next day.

I wouldn't recommend any pleco with an oscar, and here's why:

Can't Access My Cats...
I was advised to start a new thread. I apologize for posting in the wrong place, and thank you for those trying to help me over there. I am also having a problem getting into My Cats. I get the following message: General Error SQL ERROR [ mysql4 ] Incorrect datetime value: '' for column 'created' at ...

I'm still getting that message...
I have never been able to get into My Cats to edit... Do I have to register for it somewhere else or something? I checked FAQ but couldn't find anything... sorry if I'm being an idiot...

Re: New RIO 300 tank
A cory beating up a RTBS? Highly doubtful! She of course would say that because she doesn't want you to think she has bad stock (and likely doesn't want to give you a refund on the RTBS!) Regarding the tipsy cory: this doesn't necessarily indicate a swim bladder problem. IME, cories tend to ...

Re: Super tricky Cory substrate Q
I was always under the impression that silica sand was a no no for the freshwater setup as it plays with the hardness. I believe almost all sand is silica... other sand just isn't specificially called "silica sand." (Playsand, beach sand, etc.) I did a test on my sand by leaving it in a glass ...

Re: Super tricky Cory substrate Q
First off, I am NO expert, but I have experienced a similar problem in the past. Was something wrong with the substrate (aka should I used rounder or smaller gravel?). I would actually not recommend gravel at all. I only use very smooth, small grained sand for my cories. The grains should all be of ...

Re: C. leucomelas?
I bought them thinking they probably weren't punctatus, and they weren't very expensive. I just found it so odd that corysrus is selling identical looking fish to mine as punctatus, and fish that are definitely not leucomelas as leucomelas... I always thought corysrus was a very good seller. Oh well ...

C. leucomelas?
I purchased a group of fish from a LFS identified as C. punctatus . After looking at the Cat-e-Log, I'm pretty certain they're not punctatus. I'm guessing C. leucomelas . http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii264/nikelodeon79/55g%20Corydora%20Community/corydoraleu.jpg http://i266.photobucket.com ...

"Community" setup - mostly cories, how many?
I have a 55g/207L setup that I've set up primarily for corydoras. Here's the current stock: 12 Harlequin rasboras 3 Danio choprai 7 Corydoras panda 6 Corydoras habrosus 5 Corydoras leucomelas 3 Otocinclus I've been wanting to add another corydora species; however, I figure I need to increase the ...

Re: Which part of the world are you from?
Hi! I'm from Northern Wisconsin, USA (up by Superior, Wisconsin/Duluth, Minnesota). I see a few Wisconsinites and Minnesotans in this thread. :D Fishkeeping is not very popular in my immediate area so it's difficult to obtain new species. Most LFS around here only carry albino C. aeneus , but a one ...

Re: Cory ich treatment
Personally, I would not use salt with cories. IMO, they tolerate higher temps a lot better than they do salt... I would stop the salt treatment, especially if there are no outward signs of ick. Fresh, clean water will probably be best, so my recommendation would be to do some water changes. You ...

Just introducing myself and my feesh!
Hi all! I decided to wander on over here because I'm a serious cory-a-holic. No sense fighting it any longer, so I'll just embrace my addiction. I have a 55g setup dedicated mostly to corydoras. I currently have C. panda , C. habrosus , and C. leucomelas. I also have a few otos in there (going to ...
