Good afternoon

I'm interested in 4 Red Rainbows, 1 Boesmani Rainbow and 3 Botia Kubotai if they are still available?

Many thanks

Re: Twitching fins...

Thank you for your replys. I have had the tests for a while so I shall get new ones tomorrow. I'll up the frequency of the water changing too - it's just how I have always done, but having read how others change their water I will see if it helps. He's just floating at the top (about 2-3inches from ...

Re: Twitching fins...

Hello there, He's in a 500 liter fish tank (5ft), Temp is 75, PH is 7.5-8 (due to water from Tap), rest is 0. Tank mates are silver dollars, lima catfish, other synos, Bircher, tyretrack eel, a clown loach (I am in the process of moving it to the other tank with more clowns) and BN Catfish. He has ...

Twitching fins...

I've had a feather fin Syno for a while now - He's been slightly lethargic these past few days and swimming at the surface. Oxygen seems to be fine. The main symptom seems to be shaking/twitching of his fins (mainly the pectoral fins) it doesn’t seem to effect his swimming - but its as if he has t ...

Wow! I've heard of cold water fish living for 50 years, but 25 for tropical is a decent age!

Re: Syno Eupterus - white patch

Good Morning All, I didn’t mean to cause a commotion with the feeding of chicken, been feeding chicken for about 4 years now :) I also keep loaches and they LOVE the stuff :P ! Usually just put in a few bones of a roasted chicken for them. I don’t add anything to the chicken when roasting – no herbs, ...

Re: Syno Eupterus - white patch

Good afternoon Birger, I'll see if I can get a good picture of him over the next few days, he is one of the more "free" swimming of the Syno's so it shouldn't be too much of a problem :) At the moment I am feeding them on a range of foods, mainly flake and pellets, although I do also feed "fish ...

Re: Syno Eupterus - white patch

Good Evening All, Thank you for the tips about rearranging the décor, I keep Clown loaches who can be very much “this is my log – go away – shove shove” its good to know Synos are the same. I’ve got a local builder who reclaims drainage pipes made out of clay – I’m going to get some more of th ...

Re: Syno Eupterus - white patch

Thank you for your help guys :)

I have isolated him in a spare tank and am medding him with Melefix.

I'll have a look through the links and see if I can gleam a bit more info. I've got to say they are lovely fish with real characters... I'm glad I took the Syno step!

Re: Syno Eupterus - white patch

Good afternoon all, Not sure why you can’t see the picture Silurus, hopefully you can see this one : http://www.zeromonkeys.com/images/fish/catfish_problemsmall.jpg The PH is 7.5-8 and the water tests seem fine – although I’ll make sure it continues to stay fine. Richard B you mentioned an infection ...

Re: Syno Eupterus - white patch

The picture can be found here - http://www.zeromonkeys.com/images/fish/catfish_problem.jpg Please excuse my shovel nose catfish trying to get in on the act! I finally got a better picture, although it does bring out the redness due to the flash on the camera. I hope this helps with the diagnosis ...

Syno Eupterus - white patch

Good Morning All, This is my 1st post here. A couple of days ago I got a selection of fully grown Syno's from another fish keeper. These are my 1st Synos, although I have read up on them and have several close friends who keep them. One of the Syno Eupterus had a white patch of skin damage, mainly ...
