Bring the temp up to 86 degrees, and maintain it there for five days after you see the last spot fall off the fish. The temp, this high, alone, will kill the most sensitive life stage of the ich. No need for a salt bath.

125 gallon Syno tank link...

A while back, someone had posted their 125 gallon tank photos here, they had a ton of Synos. I think it was Rusty, or Dynar. Could you provide that link to your website, so I can check it out again?

I couldn't find it using all the search options that I know of.

Quick ID Needed, Don't want to remove from bag if Hybrid....

Hi all, I bought these two guys from a LFS. The people there are really good about avoiding hybrids and they usually ID accurately. However, they got these guys in and I cannot figure out what they are. They are about 1.5 to 2 inches. I am not going to remove them from the bag unless we can get ...

I have many synos in my tank with A. Cichlids. Anyways, my two S. Eupterus's and Gold nugget get along great. They don't bother each other.

thanks for all your input. I was thinking about trying to breed the granny, but I don't have 760 bucks to buy four wild ones right now.

Here is a photo of my juvi. I am embarrassed posting this lousy photo, but this is the best I could do tonight. I tried getting a good photo for 30 minutes. I even spent a while trying to catch him in a net, but my rockwork made it near impossible. I had one great shot of him/her on the white sand ...

Thanks everyone for your input and thanks for the photo! I have white substrate and the syno is still very dark in color. This syno has the same overall body shape and the exact same mouth as a petricola. He has the black fins with the white leading edge. I think there is a good chance that this not ...

Noone here knows whether a petricola 1" juvi is supposed to be a very deep gray (almost black) with black spots? I am surprised, with all the experts here. Magnum, I have been trying to get a photo, but the littlw guy is very evasive and has way too many nooks and crannies to hide in. He is ...

Juvinile Petricola????

I recently purchased a syno petricola from the LFS and it is very small (~1" OR 2.5 cm inlucding the tail). He looks like a petricola and I didn't think much of it until I read a post earlier today saying that juvi petricolas are very light colored, almost white. Mine is black with even blacker ...

Yeah, I really like the Eupterus, he is really cool! He reminds me of the lionfish I kept when I was a teenager, his fins really are long and nice. When I bought my multi I had them double bag the fish because it looked like he was trying to chew through the bag. When I got home I removed the outer ...

Syno Photos & Personalities of 3 species...

I thought I would share some photos of my syno's. They are the coolest fish! Here one of my Eupterus Syno's... these guys are not bothered by the light too much. I often see them swimming continously from cave to cave. http://pic5.picturetrail.com/VOL82/1562649/2988614/36535169.jpg Here is my only ...
