Re: Can I add a more fish...?
So this means I need at least a 100 gal tank for my 2 sailfins?! I've looked around my house and with some adjustments I can put an aquarium in our living room. I have a windowless angle wall (currently the television is there) that is 5 ft wide. I looked online and I could put a 120 gal aquarium ...

Re: Can I add a more fish...?
Then I will definitely have to give the sailfins more space as they grow. They love being together so I will need quite a large tank!

Re: Concerns about vegetables
Never thought of this. Much better idea. My boyfriend has a box of these in the garage. Thanks!!!MatsP wrote:I tend to use cable-ties (zip-ties) to hold things semi-permanently in the tank.

Re: Concerns about vegetables
Awesome product!! I just bought a pack. I was using a huge potato chip bag clip to hold it down with some success.. I tie a string to it so I don't have to keep putting my hand in the water and drip on the glass.

Can I add a more fish...?
OK... I LOVE this website! The powers that be (Moderators?) know how much I've searched and read this site! The best, most accurant information I've found. To the point: I have a 30 gal x-tall tank with an AquaClear 70gal/300gph power filter, full length "bubble-wall", Plants, wood, sandstone rock ...

Concerns about vegetables
I've been trying to improve my 2 cat's diet by adding the vegetables recommended and they are looking healthier and fatter. However, all of the vegetables seem to cloud my water (broccoli just stinks things up.) My guy's eat during the day so I try to leave items in for only a few hours. ANY ...

Re: Help! Tiny Red and Green Worms in Wood!!
Newt Larva?? Now that I wouldn't mind! But I'd need another tank... Since I won't have any large carnovores in my tank, I will have to pass on this treasure trove. I am using the most of the wood I gathered - pressure washed but not cooked. I am a softie though - I still have the worm-infested log ...

Re: Help! Tiny Red and Green Worms in Wood!!
The worms came out after I took the wood out of my soaking tubs. They are living in the wood... eating it? Currently, I only have 4 fish: 1 Pleco Gibby, 1 Pleco Multiraidius (sp?) and 2 corys. They are moving to a tall, larger tank. Can you suggest any fish that will eat these tiny worms? I notice a ...

Help! Tiny Red and Green Worms in Wood!!
Help! I collected submerged wood from a local river. When I took it out of water to measure, tiny (under 1 cm) red worms and a few plumper pale green worms began to crawl out of crevices! Are these dangerous to my fish? If not, will anything eat them to keep them under control in my tank??? PLEASE ...

Sunken river branches-use bleach?
Today I gathered an armload of oak branches from the sandy bottom of the Wisconsin River. There was algae on the surface of the water and some got on the wood. I used a powerwasher to clean the pieces and I have them soaking in tubs outside. The pieces are too big to boil. I've read on the internet ...
