EW gross! no, thank goodness!
I added a bit on tank conditions to my post.
These growths are mostly flat and roughly crescent shaped. They're pleco colored.

One of my plecos, approximately 5 years old, has developed some nasty growths. I think he's a Liposarcus pardalis . thanks for the replies! Shane, is your experience with acrylic pretty recent? The newer tanks are (reportedly) much tougher than those made a few years ago, but obviously I'm not sure that makes them tough enough for plecos. Other Loricariids aren't an option.
