Re: 75 gallon setup - what would you do?
Thanks for the info. I know a little bit about corys -that they are quite the mellow species and in general keep to themselves. I was hoping to get an idea of those who do keep a mixed setup, what they have found looks good. I was thinking about some rainbows of some sort, or maybe even a school or ...

75 gallon setup - what would you do?
skip to bottom to avoid the text wall - I went further in detail than I planned. Long story short: I had a great tank setup originally that had a mixture of escondido carpintis, green terror, various plecs, a peacock eel, and some botia striata. many said the tank would end in death because of the ...

Great! thanks for the info. He looks like a nice color, and I'll have a ton of driftwood in the tank so should do well with that. I'll have to check with my lfs's and see if it's something available locally or if I'll have to special order it from someone.

Re: What plecos for a 75g tank with EB JD's?
Alot of EB keepers I talk to have had gold nugget plecos and they both seem to thrive in the tank kept at 78*. The water kept in that range to keep the fishs metabolism up in hopes of keeping the immune system boosted. The pH parameters for the jack are between 6.5-8.0 due the amount of breeding in ...

Re: What plecos for a 75g tank with EB JD's?
Most JD's I've read about, and talked to JD owners are about generally stay 8-10".. 12" is something common to see in the wild, not so much in aquaria (again only what I have read. The EBJD's seem to average about 8" with females at around 6-7". The tank will have 10x filtration, and most of my ...

What plecos / corys, if any, would be ok w/ EB J.Dempsey:
I'm looking at setting up a 75 gallon tank, currently finishing up cycling, with an electric blue jack dempsey pair and want to finish off the tank around them. They are much more mild mannered than the regular jack dempsey, in some cases folks I know have said they are not aggressive at all, but I ...

Max amount of Corys in a 55 or 75g?
What is the max amount of corys you would keep in a 55 or 75g tank. My goal was to have 3-4 schools of 6, with different levels in the tank - like an oceanic shelf. I currently have 3 juliis in my community tank and they are all over the tank.. eating, sleeping, playing where ever. Thanks for the ...
