Algae Fix
I am having problems with bearded algae (the long stringy brownish green stuff). I have live plants. I have a bristlenose, clown pleco, and rubbermouth pleco. Does anyone know if treating the tank with AlgaeFix will hurt the plecos? I am worried about them eating the dying or dead algae. I know some ...

Rubbernose pleco info?
My LFS has some Rubbernose plecos (I think they are calling them Rubbermouth) for sale for $5. I have one bristlenose, and one clown pleco. Does anyone know how these would get along with my group? How about size?

Everybody here has better information than I can give you. But, one thing you asked that nobody answered was about how to clean the corral or shell to make sure there is no harmful bacteria. Whenever I add a rock or even driftwood, I boil the object for at leas 5 minutes. Maybe it could be a little ...

Success with Zuchini !!
After looking at several posts here, I have been trying to get my bristlenose and my clown to eat zuchini or cucumber. I didn't see any results, so I started pressing my algae wafers into the slices. This morning I came in to find my bristlenose laying on the zuchini!! :D :D :D I am so glad. Thanks ...

Enough room?
I have a 105 gal. tank that is 48" long x 18"deep x 29" tall. I have 6 discus, 3 corys, a 3 1/2 " bristlenose pleco, and a 1 1/2 " clown pleco. The LFS has some albino bristlnose they are growing out. They will probably be large enough in a month. Would the addition of another pleco be too much? I ...

Thanks for the info and encouragement. I went ahead and bought the other cory. I agree with you henky, for me it just seems they do better in the tank if they are from the same area. Everyone seems to be doing fine. I am much happier with plecos and cories in the tank. They are some of my favorites ...

Too much activity for plecos?
I have a 105 gal. tank with a width of 48 inches and depth of 18 inches. I have a Bristlenose pleco that is aprox. 3 1/2 inches and a clown pleco that is approx. 1 1/2 inches. I also have 3 corys and 6 discus. I have seen another cory that I would like to get, but am afraid the corys might be too ...

2 clown plecos?
I have a 105 gal. tank with 5 discus, 1 clown loach and 1 small clown pleco. I was wondering if I could handle having two clown plecos in this tank. I have one driftwood cave and can add a rock cave easily. Just wondered if they would fight or be fine.

I have to agree about the discus boards. I visit them when I need info or am bored. I get tired of that attitude. "YOU don't change 100% of your water daily? Your discus will die !!!" They are very closed minded about different approaches. Thanks again, Shamgar1 Oh yeah, I went and bought the clown ...

Clown pleco & Discus?
Does anyone know if a clown pleco and discus interact o.k.? I have discus in a 105 gal. tank. I have read on discus boards about how bad plecos are with them. I have no plecos and miss them! I had a large Brown albino pleco with them for a while and he didn't hurt them at all.

Blue Green Algae
I am having a problem with blue green algae and was wondering if a pleco will eat it. My lfs says no, since it is cynobacter not algae. I have a 105 gal. freshwater with discus.
