what is wrong with my cory?
I have a Julii cory in a 10 gallon aquarium. Lately, I have noticed that he seems to have lost control of his capability to direct himself when he swims. As a result, he will swim in long loops, and then rest on the bottom of the tank upside down. He moves around a lot less than normal, and ...

brochis in my 55?
I currently have a 55 gallon tank with a full grown green severum, and a 5" blue acara. Also in the tank is a bristlenose pleco, and a small school of buenos aires tetras. I was wondering whether a group of 2-3 of any of the 3 brochis species would work in this tank. There is a somewhat large piece ...

"rubbernose" pleco questions
I saw a "rubbernose pleco" on sale at my lfs for ~5 bucks. I like the look of them, so I looked them up in the catelog, but there wasn't any info relating to their size, temperment, etc... I was just wondering if anyone had any additional information on these fish. Thanks in advance.

synodontus in 10 gal tank?
I am going to be setting up a 10 gallon tank in the next few weeks. For occupants, I am going to be adding a pair or trio of shell dwelling cichlids, and was wondering if there are any synos that would be comfortable in this size tank. I have seen synodontus petricola suggested, but am not sure if I ...

cory's in a planted tank
I am going to be setting up a 29 gallon planted aquarium within the next few months, and am planning on stocking it with a small group of corys. The focal point of the tank will be a pair of dwarf cichlids (probably apistos). Because the tank will be planted, I am going to be using flourite as the ...

bristlenose feeding question
I have a small bristlenose pleco in my 55 gallon aquarium. I decided to try feeding him zucchini and he seems to love it. My question is, how often should I feed him to provide him with an adequate food supply. I don't feed him otherwise, and am not sure how much they are able to get from feeding on ...

catfish for 55 gal?
I have a 55 gallon tank setup that currently contains a bristlenose pleco, a green severum and a blue acara and was wondering if there were any smaller to medium sized catfish that would do well in this tank setup. There are plenty of hiding spaces available, and the severum doesn't bother any of ...

strange pleco behavior?
Over the past few days I have noticed some strange behavior out of my bristlenose. A few bubbles will rise from somewhere on him after which he will swim straight to the surface of the water and then dart back down. I have seen plecos do this before and have never know exactly what this behavior ...

pictus cats for a 55 gal
I currently have a 55 gal set up with the fish shown in my signiture. I was wondering if a single pictus cat would do alright in this tank. I am new to catfish, so I don't really know anything about them. If anyone has any other suggestions for catfish in the tank, I would appreciate them. Thanks ...
