That might have killed the plants....
If you didn't have any shrimp or anything in the tank, you could have also used copper.

Another Petricola or Lucipinnis ID
Okay, so my 1st fish we ID'd as a petricola. Now I got another one. I thought it was amulti, but when I looked at it, it had a white dorsal, which means either petricola or multi. But this one is smaller and has a more rounded head. Here ya go...What is he? http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll65 ...

Lucipinis or Petricola?
A costumer brought this in to my work the other day. I know it's a petricola or a luci. The question is, which one? I've been looking for decent size pets for my 40 gallon saulosi tank, and I found this one. He's currently floating in the bag acclimating to the tank. So, is it a pet or a luci ...

Lemon Drop Ancistrus
Hello all Today I bought a "Lemon Drop Ancistrus" for my planted 29 gallon. It's maybe an inch long, and once it gets in the tank and is visible, I'll try and get some pics of it. But in the mean time, I've been trying to find some pictures of it online to see what it'll look like when it gets older ...

Re: did I spawn C. habrosus?
I believe you about the eggs, and I take your word for it, but the thing is, is that they are saying that the eggs could be nerite snail eggs, which I also have in the tank. I'm guessing that they are cory eggs, as everything I've been doing is about right for them to spawn. I'm still hoping that ...

Thanks for the info... Ph-6.6 Amonia-0 Nitrites-0 Nitrates-0 Phosphates-3 The eggs are still stuck to the wall, and they are not white yet. Here, it seems that y;all think that they are cory eggs, whereas on plantedtank.net, they seem to think that they are eggs from my nerite snails. I'll just ...

Re: did I spawn C. habrosus?
I'm still not convinced that they are habrosus eggs, as like I said in my first post, the tank was a mess when I found the eggs. Temp is somewhere between 76 and 78 (kinda flucuates with all my waterchanges) I'm not sure on everything else. Last I checked (about 3 weeeks ago) Amonia:0ppm Phosphates ...

did I spawn C. habrosus?
I think my Corydoras habrosus may have spawned  The other day, when I was cleaning the tank, I noticed some small, egg looking balls on my front glass. I tried to pick them off, thinking they were snails, and they didn't come off rightaway, at least, without alot of pressure...as far as ...

Dwarf Clown Pleco?
Hello all I bought a 'dwarf; clown pleco about 2 weeks ago for my newly set up 29 gallon, heavily planted. The thing is, I can't find anything about dwarf clown plecos. All that comes up is just a regular clown pleco. Any info on these buggers? I would kind of like a correct ID and l number if ...

I ended up getting the female ABN...She's smaller than I thought...about 3.5-4 inches...I just dumped her, and she hasn't been on the glass yet, so I don't have a total measurement...hopefully I'll get some eggs soon, or what's left of them when the cichlids find them.

I took a pic of him with my hand, but I measured him with a ruler when he was on the glass...next time he's on the glass, I"ll hold a ruler out and take a pic...lol
So would it hurt to get a female that is half the size of him?

Hello all... Unfortunantly, last night, my gold nugget died. I notived that he had astarted to become sluggish, but he was eating zucchini and algae tablets, so I didn't think anything of it. Anyways, that's not the point of this thread. I picked up an albino male bristle nose a while back...he's ...

Re: Pipefish info?
If you get the pipe, put it in a tank by it's self with lots of plants. Live works best. It will got lost in a 90, and most likely, starve. Feed it brine shrimp, blackworms might work, etc. Try day old guppy fry as well. Even new born mollies are too large for them. Pipefish are small, and extremely ...

Re: pygmaeus, bilineatus, or something completely different?
Yup...at first I thought they were nanus, but then, after reading the profile, it said that nanus are known from only 10 specimens, and very rare in the fish industry. They do have some growing to do....they are only about 1/2-3/4 of an inch long right now. So they are deffaintly not pygmaeus, right?

pygmaeus, bilineatus, or something completely different?
I bought these as nemus cories...I thought they were pygmaeus, but since I got home, I don't believe they are. I can find nothing about these *nemus* cries anywhere. Okay...my photos won't show cause they aren't on the inter net, so here's a link to another forum I belong to with pics of them...and ...
