On a similar note.... does anyone know if the textured backgrounds that Juwel make are plec friendly? Not too worried about potential damage of the background as much as poisoning the fish if it's rasping algae off it.

There's some unbranded aquarium sand in Aquatic Design Centre but I'm not sure how to tell whether it's inert - I suspect that if I ask they'll say yes regardless of whether it is or not...
