Re: sexing L082 - help

Yes - in teory

There could also occurre bias from caching. Males are easyer to cach becaurse they stay in the caves. Maybe on a ration 4:1 male:female.

But still - it is stressfull to cach them a eksamen them with closeup photoes. I rather trust i luck.

Re: sexing L082 - help

The chance of having 4 of the same sex is 0,5x0,5x0,5x0,5=0,0625%. I think I will let time tell if they will mate.

Re: I can't keep them alive...

Lak of desolved oxygen in the water is my guess. I have a small tank where this happens if I have to many fish in it.

I have had mine for a two-three months now. It eats a lot, and likes everything that is offered, but I have no idea what it (she) is supposed to eat. Hope to get some more of this very nice specie some day. They are currently not available in Norway. How can you tell that it is a she? You can get ...

Re: What to feed L082

I have 4 L082 and 5 caves in my tank, it workes well. I will ad one more becaures it makes them more outgoing. I think they can smell better then they can see, becaures they swim right by food - stops - and then swimes after the smell of food again.

Sexing Anistrini Loricariidae l082

Hi,
I have just bought two L082. They are still at the store, until my tank is ready for them. But how do I see the difference between male and female? They are about 12-14 cm long.
