Wild caught plecos and internal parasites?
Iâ??m getting a lot of different plecos from Brazil tomorrow. Of course, Iâ??m planning to quarantine them, but Iâ??m wondering if I have to treat them for internal parasites? I think I read somewhere that â??almost every wild caught plecos have internal parasitesâ?

I started a thread about feeding Farlowella fry in December, which you can read here . I ended up using a two-litres plastic container that I left floating in another aquarium. Here I added an air stone and about 10 centimetres of water (four inches). I did this twice, one time with unhatched eggs ...

Thatâ??s what Iâ??ve heard, and thatâ??s why I like to try another brand. Another advantage is that Hikari is available in larger quantities than Wardly. My Wardly-box is empty after only a short while... In addition to the Wardly algae discs Iâ??ve been using Wardly shrimp sticks, which the fish see ...

Algae wafers
Iâ??ve been using Wardly algae discs for some time now, but after a discussion with some other catfish aquarists Iâ??m a little confused. They mean that JBL or Hikari are better brands. I havenâ??t any experience with these brands, but now Iâ??m thinking of changing to one of them. Have anyone tried ...

Thank you for your quick reply. Maybe I should go for the L-255, even though itâ??s more expensive. I mean, how often do you get a chance to buy this catfish? Iâ??ve never seen this catfish before, only in pictures. I guess this must be a rare catfish in other countries as well, not only in Norway. ...

A little update: I only got a few fry that hatched, but theyâ??re still alive. The good news is that the Farlowellas spawned again yesterday, so I got a second chance. I decided to remove the eggs, because of the Ancistrus. I have them in a small plastic box floating in the aquarium. I also added an ...

I've read some articles, all of the above, so now I just have to wait for the eggs to hatch. The Farlowella male wasn't a very good father. He left the eggs alone for hours, and the result was that 20 of 30 eggs were eaten, probably by one of the ancistruses. Therefore, I decided to remove the eggs ...

Egg hatching - how long time?
Just wondering how long time it will take for Corydoras eggs to hatch? I have a few C. sterbai eggs that I'm waiting for to hatch, and I'm not shure how long time I should wait before I throw them away...

I've read that article, but I can't say that I understand how I'm going to feed the fry. Only that it is hard to get them to eat... My plan was, before I read the article, to let the male hatch the eggs, and then move the fry to a tank I have been using to raise Ancistrus. The fine gravel should be ...

Farlowella
Yesterday, my pair of Farlowella spawned in my comunity tank. I've had them for about one year now, and after conditioning and lots ov water changes the last months, they finaly spawned. This is my first "non-ancistrus-loricarid" that has been spawning, so I need some advises. I've heard that the ...
