Re: Sexing my CW051's
I have 15 species of corydoras...they are not all the same in their breeding specifics. I had a bit of trouble with my parallelus and poor fertility...6 m & 4 f....I believe with this specific group that there was too many males...I went to 2 m with single females...some improvement...I actually got ...

Re: Substrate?
Looks like red flint mix...if it's BB size it will work well...I use the same mixed 25% rf with 75% washed creek sand or pool sand. The cories love it and it has a very natural look...live plants seem to grow better that with just sand...maybe due to staying in place better or a looser base for ...

Re: Driftwood from pinion and juniper
Yes the branches look like they have been dead for 10s of years...I live at 6700 feet above sea level in the high desert...13" or less rain per year...not much rots here. I use the cholla cactus skeletons as they are favorites of the plecos. I was thinking of some of the dead bigger branches. I'll ...

Driftwood from pinio and juniper
I have had aquariums for near 50 years. I have had "driftwood" in many tanks. Mostly purchased from LFS. I now live in the mountains of New Mexico and have abundant juniper and pinion pine. Lots of the dead branches are beautiful shapes. I am wondering if these two woods would be harmful when ...

Re: Best Corydoras Foods
My opinion is that black worms are the #1 pre-spawning conditioning food. Live Grindal and white worms are second for inducing egg production. My Corydoras most eagerly eat Sera tablets..Vitformo & Plankton. If you have available New Life Spectrum small fish formula is very good. I buy several of my ...

Swapped for these and need ID please
I found these three guys in a small shop that has fish as a sideline.
I liked their looks and have them in my quaranteen tank for acclimation and health assessment.Could anyone help me with an ID. The owner had the invoice that only stated they were "wild plecos".
Thank you in advance

Sera tablets
My corydoras wouldn't know what to do without the Sera Vitformo and Plankton tablets I get from you !! All my FO corys adapt quickly to the Sera tabs !! They don't seem to foul the water and store easily in the pails in a dry place !!
Thanks

We can try and get better photos of the male..he spends his time in his cave and we don't bother him much. Yann, Thank you for the input. That is the name that we have used until now. I removed it from the picture for this forum question. Where did I get that name? Help needed with ID of this Uruguay black/red dot pleco
We have several of these plecos from Uruguay. They were collected about three years ago and brought to me by a friend. Recently we removed them from a 320 gallon community tank and placed them in a 50 gallon breeding tank. Now, some months later there are 3 cm juveniles moving all over. We believe ...

There was a temperary name given to a simialar fish a few years back.
I seem to remember its ID for a time as "Biahanao II" or similar nomer.
What was the correct name used for that fish & has it been described ?
Thanks
