Re: Plecostamus?
It sounds like you might have to start bubbling your change water prior to putting it into your tank to gas off the ammonia. & you're using quite a few water conditioners, Seachem Prime alone should be enough. I'm not familiar w/either of your filters, but generally you can rinse them in old tank ...

Re: Otocinclus in 5 1/2 gal?
Ahh, I probably should have stated that I'd be feeding them as well. Makes me sad that some people view/buy catfish as "scavengers" to clean up after preceding fish & don't feed the cats specifically :x . I'm planning on going the collard greens/spinach route that I've read about on this forum ...

Otocinclus in 5 1/2 gal?
Hello, I'm more of a lurker than a poster  I'm considering putting 5 or 6 Otocinclus cats in a well planted 5 1/2gallon tank. Plants are probably going to be various crypts, java fern, maybe some Rotala sp. & Salvinia minima. I'm hoping to get some small pieces of manzanita wood to go in as ...

10gal stocking question
Hello! I've been lurking here for a bit & finally am ready to make my first post  I have a 10gallon planted tank, & was wondering if I can house 6 Corydoras hasbrosus (sp?) & 5 otocinclus catfish along with a few (3?) male guppies for color? Does this sound too stocked? Any advice/comments ...
