Re: poor thing....
his color has been darker than it used to be and he is also a lot thinner than he used to be. No spots, white specks or anything that I have noticed. He was acting fine yesterday and now this. I think he is about ready to go to cory heaven. Out of desperation I was looking thru my fish meds and read ...

poor thing....
I think my cory catfish (one of the peppered ones) is slowly dying. I am afraid there is not much else I can do for the little guy. He was laying on his side and in the corner of the 20g (I moved all my cories to the 20g) I since moved him to a treatment tank and he is lying on his back hardly ...

Re: Something's wrong with my cory
I have one Fundulopanchax gardneri killifish that keeps going belly up (I have a trio and it's always the same female). Every time this happens I'm always close by, so I can bring her back. I usually stick her into another tank till she comes to. Maybe you should get your cory out of that tank. Put ...

Re: Something's wrong with my cory
maybe he was just playing dead? Having a nap?
Is it your newly set up 20 gal? You really should if at all possible get your own water test kit. I don't know if I could sleep at night with out one.
no this is another, smaller tank which I am keeping these cories in temporarily until the 20g is ...

Something's wrong with my cory
ok, I thought one of my peppered cories was dead and I was about to take him out of the tank and then he started moving again. He was hanging vertically right side up by the filter just hanging there so I thought he was dead. What could be wrong here? I have not checked the water parameters but if ...

Re: got a new 20gallon
okay well it is a big tank for ME anyway as it is the biggest I've got and I don;t have the room for a tank the size that you have pictured.
but anyway, I like the new aquarium ![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon/biggrin.gif)

Re: question about cycling a 20 gallon
yes there are 5 cories. and i am going to keep all them together. for now the other 3 are in cramped quarters with 2 small guppies in a 2.5gallon tank as I had to divide up the cories when the old tank started to leak. I did not use the old gravel or the cycled filter for the new aquarium just the ...

Re: question about cycling a 20 gallon
ok, thanks, I will move 2 of my cories right away (the ones in the 1gallon) to the 20g. I do think they will be much much happier in there than in the little 1gallon tank. I just wanted to be sure the tank was ready first so as to avoid any casualties. those will be the only 2 i am adding for now ...

question about cycling a 20 gallon
I recently got a new 20g tank (see my other post) and it has been cycling for about a week now. I added some of the old water from my old and leaky 5g to the 20gallon and also put in Stress Zyme bacteria product. How long before I can add only 2 of my corys to the tank (and only 2 for now, rest ...

got a new 20gallon
i finally got a big tank-a 20 gallon tank!! to me, that is big news because I don;t have a lot of space and I was not expecting to get one. the thing is, my 5gallon tank leaked a second time and so I talked my mom into getting a bigger and better tank. She agreed and we went to Petsmart to pick up ...

Re: Keeping them for just a while...
i am of the belief that once you get a pet, you should stick with it. if you lose interest, well, in my book, you shouldnt; have gotten it in the first place as those people apparently weren;t all that crazy about their pets to begin with. in my opinion,. now of course, you may have financial issues ...

Re: I've been losing my corys and don't know what to do
okay, this may seem like a dumb question but i noticed you didn;t have your chlorine readings on your post. to me, it sounds like chlorine/chloramine poisoning. i could be wrong though, do you use a water conditioner? i know that probably sounds like a silly question but some people who keep fish ...
