But having seen a friend of mine that had MANY (ie more than 10) plecs in a 3 foot, and how they interacted with each other givin the right amount ...

I know what the problem might be!!! It might be stress related as the pictures are taken OUT OF THE WATER. How would you like it if i took you under water and photographed you. I MEAN HOW CRUEL IS THAT? AND I'M GONNA REPORT YOU TO THE R.S.P.C.FISH

you might want to individually bag say two feedings so your fish-sitter can only feed the desired amount, on the two ocassions. Give them a whole box of food and no doubt the whole box will end up in the tank.

Congrats man. I'm no expert but i'm thinking if its the first time your zebra has bred. If it is then i think its down to experiance that the male has fled. He should be fanning them untill they hatch. I'm sure other members will come and contribute. Have you seen Robs web site about zebras? http ...

GloFish

These fish are now for sale in the US. I reckon it will catch on in the catfish world too unless we stop buying them. I wont buy something that has been genetically modified.

What does everyone think?

Hi saylaveev, I put in 4 medium size zebras in a african tank, and they dissappeared, like all the time. They never came out or ate. So i couldn't work out who was who when they did come out. I would leave them in their 10 gallon untill they start some activity. It sounds like you want to see them ...

A bit expensive isn't it IMO. Have you spoken to Rob in Sunderland? I believe he has some for sale and a tad cheaper as well. Post me a message and i'll get you the number. Or trawl thru the classifieds in aquarist-classifieds.co.uk.

I alternate cleaning between my internal one and external two with my internal having more. The bio load in the other filters will sustain such cleaning, and the filters will work ...

So are you saying that it is best to use a more intensive light output for fish that are sensitive to light? I have a tank that has mainly catfish now and i'm using a T8 bulb. I also have a Marine Blue Actinic bulb. Would switching to T5 bulbs be better?
