So, on September 15, 2018 listening to my dad's advice I purchased a young, healthy, and active Pleco at Walmart and this ...

Feeding New Pleco

I have a baby Pleco that my dad bought me. Yesterday, I placed half of an algae wafer, but he hasn't touched it much, I have seen him move the wafer fragments and I have seen him go to the wafer fragments and rest on one. I don't think nothing is wrong. Could my baby Pleco be a finicky eater or just ...

Re: hello everyone

Hello there Becky. Welcome to Planet Catfish. I enjoy this site too. People are friendly and they love Catfish. Personally, I never thought Catfish would be fun to raise. I have one that is a Pleco and he is fun to watch. Fish are just fun to watch because they don't worry like we do. Enjoy the site!

Killer, my Pleco came from Wal-mart from the state of Texas... I don't like Wal-mart selling fish.... they don't take care of them.

Why does my Pleo do this?

My Plecostomus does this. He will lay in the same spot for hours or even days and do the same thing. He has this rock in his aquarium that he loves so much. Why do they take such a liking to certain objects?

Re: Happiness & Security of Plecostomus

My only question would be what kind of filtration do you have on the tanks. And are you considering geting bigger aquariums when they get bigger. At least a 45.5 liter tank or 10 us gallons I think would be okay for a small apartment. i'm in a 720 sq ft apartment and i have a 29 gallon. and a 2 ...
