Ahhh! So you are in Texas... but you know about Scales in Maryland. I have been there ... and Andrew is a member of our CCA (Capital Cichlid Association). Yes, I will ask at Scales.

I have learned something from this thread about an interesting Asian Catfish I have never seen offered for sale in my region. Maybe someday a few will show up so I can try keeping them. Tiny catfish are among my favorite species to keep and breed. I have been promoting the enjoyment that fresh ...

I keep Tatia perugiae with mine, but perhaps a warmer water Corydoras , Bunocephalus coracoideus or a plec such as Farlowella ? Basically anything that likes warm (25-29C) soft acid water and won't eat the Apistos will be fine. You will have to watch out for aggression from the Apistos in a small ...

Hey, I keep Hara jerdoni with freshwater shrimps (red cherry I guess) without problem. Haras are able to eat only very tiny shrimps (mature shrimps can handle little catfish without problem) and population of shrimps is growing nicely. Regards. Hara jerdoni sound interesting. Especially with the ...

No problem. C. cochui and C144 are extremely rare in the hobby. They are very small fishes and collectors favour catching the larger more expensive species so the little ones are ignored. It is only when Hobbyists go to collect that we see these fishes. Ian How small are these cory? I can see why ...

Well I don't know what they're eating.. but they're eating. They're mostly plump, and their bellys are noticeablly full. Of something, who knows what. I think maybe they have settled in and are starting to eat what my Apistos do. Maybe soon I can work on spawning these guys. I hope it is as easy as ...

They are presently housed with apistos in a 20 gallon high planted tank. (Is this the catfish you would put with Apistos?) I also want to know about pigmy catfish ...

Miniature catfish Burmese miniature Hara?

Hi! First post on this forum. I am looking for information on some really tiny catfish.(Burmese miniature Hara just the first one I heard about.) I was told in another forum that miniatures would be good tank mates for either apistos, ottos or red coral shrimp. Any suggestions are welcome.

That's the best idea I have heard so far. Second is 'make reservations early'. See you at the convention!
