Re: thinking of breeding

Most people tend to prefer 2 females and one male for most Loricariidae - but it's not a fast and firm rule - obviously, the minimum requirement is one male and one female. It is often a bad thing to have multiple males, as they tend to fight over the females [in nature, the dominant male will run ...

I was thinking of a special build, and getting some tanks that are 50x50x30 cm, which is 75 liters. Will this be big enough? Or should it be ...

Re: Re:

Butis Butis are commonly found in habitats that contain Neo. glencoensis, Neo.rendahl & Neo. Atter. Hmm. I can't find these species in the cat-elog? Can you give more info? Presumably "Neo." refers to Neosilurus, which leads to: Neosilurus rendahl(i) is listed as Porochilus rendahli - but a junior ...

Re: Butis Butis aquarium

Butis Butis are commonly found in habitats that contain Neo. glencoensis, Neo.rendahl & Neo. Atter. Hmm. Are those species readily available? Plus I'd bet an Arius would not be suitable. Too big. They'll also need seawater when adult. (if you wanna make em happy!) :| Can you come with any good ...

200mm? You don't think that is to big for a 128 liter tank? it is only 80x40x40 cm.

Butis Butis aquarium

Hello I am planning on making a 128 liters aquarium, with the fish Butis Butis. http://www.aqualandpetsplus.com/Oddball,%20Crocodile%20Fish.htm It is a brackish fish, but can live in fresh water with no problems. So, my question, wich catfishes, comes from the same area, Indo-Pacific area and ...
