Re: So...We went to a midnight madness sale...

I am sure he will get the care he needs with you,you love Panaques so much that you cant mistreat them! :D You are correct there!!! I think Seedy is starting to think that I take better care of the fish than I do him. He has settled in...He seems to enjoy all the different kinds of wood he has to ...

Re: So...We went to a midnight madness sale...

Kostas...I'm working on upgrading one of the Tanganyikan tanks so that I can put my new friend in the 75 gallon until I can get an even bigger tank... :D He just amazes me every time I look at him.

So...We went to a midnight madness sale...

Well, we heard about a midnight madness sale at one of the LFS's (Premier Aquatics in Tulsa,OK). We hadn't planned on going since they mainly deal in saltwater, but my Brother and Sister-in-law wanted to go...So, in the car we went. The last time we were in the store I saw the most amazing Panaque ...

I think this is extremely entertaining...I did all of the above to my Mom before I moved out to a place of my own (w/Seedy that is). However...I never got in trouble for any of it. My Parents used to have "show" tanks when I was little, but got rid of them when we moved from Wyoming to Oklahoma, so ...

New Camera!!!

My father just retired and decided to get into digital photography, therefore has been taking classes for it and has bought lots of new equipment. After returning from his photo safari in Ecuador he presented us with a new Nikon D40x with permission to use any of his "extra" lenses as we need them ...

My advise would be to call around to your LFSs and see if they have them or if they can order them. I can find them on a pretty regular basis here in Oklahoma.

Yeah I really like the tank darker for the most part...I have to have kind of strong light over the plants but the back of the tank tends to stay pretty dark. I did finally see both Panaque when I turned on the lights this morning. The L191 looks great, nice and fat :D...unfortunately by the time I ...

Kostas - We haven't seen either Panaque since adding the wood...We finally had to go searching them out to make sure they were OK and both were happily munching in the back where it is darker. For that picture, yes I added light to the tank. I borrowed the cf lighting from my planted tank so that I ...

Thanks for the imput Kostas...I have added some more twigs (some that are forked) in the right side of the tank and a lot are angled instead of horizontal. We will get new pics for it this weekend and then would love more imput. :)

I'm not sure how many have followed this thread from the begining but I have as this is MY tank and was ...

But i dont see any catfish tanks :o :) nice fishroom and nice to see a fishroom with space to actually sit down and relax, the mistake myself and many other people make is to fill every last square inch of space with tanks and have no place just to sit and watch the fish for a few hours. The 40g ...

you just put a tank full of non decomposed plant material that's going to rot; see what happens to your waterquality in a couple of months sidguppy, We were not born yesterday so yes we are well aware that wood decomposes. Hence the massive filtration on that tank that gets cleaned weekly. However ...
