Well, he seemed to be improving for a while but then he died ast night.
Fortunately his tankmate is still fine.

Thanks for the responses, he is still alive but looking worse this morning. I bought a fish that was sold as a golden eeltail (see my thread here), apparently it is which does only grow to 20cm. That might be the one you were thinking of.

Eeltail catfish, anyone recognise it?
I bought an eeltail from a pet store (in Perth, Western Australia) not long ago, they weren't sure what it was or where it was from. It is about 10cm long and seems to like warm water (tank is at 24 degrees, it likes hiding near the heater). Maybe Neosilurus or Porochilus ? http://img.photobucket ...
