Chrysichthys ornatus questions.

For about 2 years now i have an Chrysichthys ornatus, great fish about 20cm long. When i bought it, it was about the same size maybe a cm or 2 smaller but i think it hasn't grown since i bought it. All still good it's a very nice size for a catfish, so i figured it was an adult and he would not grow ...

Ah ok that's clear, either a big shoal or a single specimen.

It's most likely to be a loner then but when I find 5 or 6 more i'll buy them, it's a very pretty species so I would love a shoal of them.

Will try for a intank shot.

Yeah mine looks just like yours Birger, it's got barbels like a dearshead :)

I really like the fish, but i've never seen it in stores before, so finding mate's for him ísn't gonna be easy.

I like a challenge :)

Tnx for the id, who's keeping them for more?

That, or set up a small tank with the type of foam youre planning on using with a few test fishes, a few feeders for example.

I've always used it in all my tanks but always the same local brand, not all foams are alike, so risking your expensive cats over it would be a real shame.
