Re: Sexing Hemiancistrus sp. L128

Hi Haavard. I'm not a specialist in H. L128. I only have a trio and I hope they are 1 male and two females. I was choosing them for more than two hours, them arrive one friend and in minutes he took a look and could choose and sex them. They are not bigger than yours but his experience in these was ...

Re: 720 liter pl*co, discus and tetra tank

Hi Haavard. You can get inspiration on the red vine whenever you want. Your L200-L128's tank looked incredible for me, now better. I think you'll never stop getting ready your set up. This is your destiny....and many times the vine or so can be a very good help. By other hand, had you try whit any ...

Re: Cave size for Panaqolus L-204

Hi worton. Vine isn't a tree. It's a riverside climbing bush. But this kind of vine, here, are pruning like bushes to get its grapes. They haven’t resin and are rich in tannins and others fundamental for our lorys. The dark side of vine is that are food for them and day by day it’s disappearing. Th ...

Re: Cave size for Panaqolus L-204

Hi Haavard. As you can supposed panaques are authentic “sommeliere” and those vines are Cavernet sauvignon  . In the caves of those vines my p. maccus and Hypancistrus L262 had breed successfully. Now the p. L204 look really fine feeding and hidden in there. I hope they like it enough to breed i ...

Re: Could anyone sex my L260s?

Hi LitosCBR. With the Berbie's opinión I had revised your pics and now you can be sure you have L411's 1F, 2F, 3M, 4F. She allway has reason so wait for your male to be ready. As you pointed the pectorals of the 2nd individual make me get wrong. But her body and head sharpes are of a female (not her ...

Re: Leporacanthicus triactis pair in cave

Hi Haavard.

Sad, so sad news.
These is beauty and beast.
I wonder if 720l are enough for more than one male. Be carefull. I'd to get one L190 out as hurry as I could cause two males was growing in the same 600l up. They were only 17cm TL.

You´ll have beter results soon....sure.

Regards.

Re: Leporacanthicus triactis pair in cave

Hi Haavard. This female was healthy. I'm sure she can resist these kind of competence. Although she wasn't ready to spawn she needs a cave where feel sure. Be sure on the caves number and size in your large tank. Actually any salt to prevent and antibiotic therapy helping her will be enough. Sadly I ...
