Water Seachem Neutral Regulator with Seachem Discus Buffer to maintain water parameters at 6.8 and soft. From three to five gallon partial water changes 3x week (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) with gravel vacuum poop patrol and slow addition of new water at same 79 F temperature, and treated with Seachem before adding to aquarium.
Furniture Planted w/ Carib Sea Eco complete (black). Amazon Sword, Anubis, Oriental Sword, and 2 Morami Balls. 2 pieces Mopani driftwood and 1 ceramic bridge (the catfish love these!). FIXTURES: Five Upside-down catfish (Syndontis Nigriventris) eight Neon Tetras and three Julli Cory aka Leopard Corys .
Filtration Aqua Clear Filter for 30 gallons Sponge and SeaChem Matrix biological support media. Ammonia is always 0ppm. Current is strong.
Lighting Full spectrum fluorescent light. LED moon lights actinic blue and white. Aquarium is 18 inches away from and in front of a west-ward window for use of natural daylight; there are blinds and sheer curtains so that I can control how much light the aquarium is exposed to. The plants love the natural light, and I have not had any algae problems with my 3 x week partial water change and gravel vac/poop patrol! There is no back-ground on the back wall of the aquarium, and when the window blinds and curtains are open to full view, the background is the wooded area behind the house. No claustrophobic catfish around here!
Heating 100w All Glass Aquariums Heater (Fluval M Heater with a mirror-like surface is on my wish list). Constantly at 79 F.

Current Strong
Water 0 ppm ammonia Partial 25% water-change 2 to 3-times a week, using a gravel-vac siphon.
Furniture 1 piece Mopani Driftwood. At 10 inches long TL and still growing, this is her new temporary home...I just moved her to this 20-gallon, 30-inch long aquarium. My goal for her permanent housing is a 75-gallon aquarium with an under-gravel filter along with one 70-gallon or two 50-gallon Fluval Aqua Clear HOB filters.
Filtration Fluval Aqua Clear 30 with Seachem Matrix bio-media support and Matrix Carbon and Marineland Carbon mix in the media well. A pre-filter sponge on the intake-tube. 1 Lee's premium undergravel filter, with 20 lbs. of 1/4-inch river-rock gravel.
Lighting No day lighting except from the windows or room lights. The aquarium is on the bottom of a double aquarium stand so there is indirect light from the window (also blinds and sheer curtains to control the amount of light from the window). One LED moon-light (white) for night-viewing. Off at bedtime.
Heating A new Top Fin 100 watt (non-adjustable) permanent 78-80 degree F set heater. She broke the thermostat adjustment knob off of the other heater when she did not get a Hikari Algae Wafer for dinner one night! ;) That one was a 50 watt in the 10 gallon aquarium, and is now permanently adjusted to 80 degrees F for the Neon Tetras in the 10 gallon Marineland Aquarium. ;)
Feeding
1.Hikari Algae Wafers (dry / prepared) daily
2.Hikari Frozen Bloodworms (dry / prepared) occasionally
